Just saw "Strangers on a Train" for the first time. I was not prepared for the madness about to be unleashed! The shot of Miriam getting murdered reflected on her glasses will forever haunt me. Both Bruno and Guy were excellently portrayed, and Barbs was a hoot! Certainly an early Lucy Ewing prototype and what she should have been! The carousel climax of the movie was utterly insane and just a wonderful payoff. Perhaps a bit too thin of a story, but beautiful and mesmerizing nonetheless.
Reading some of the Nancy Drew books from 10-15 years ago and the plots could easily work for a show now. It's too bad a show now would have her in a love triangle with Ned Nickerson and a hot cop and have a "twist" where Carson Drew accidentally killed her mother because he was having an affair with Hannah Gruen.
