So, I'm confused. There was a tie for position 3 and a tie for position 5. So AMC is really at the bottom of the demo, tied with some other show (what would that be? B&B? ATWT?)

The only shows equal-to or below AMC in the demo are B&B, ATWT, and they dead GL. And yet this still is a basis for celebrating "top five"?

Also, isn't this a COLOSSAL FAILURE, for AMC to be so low, when this was the week of the big shooting (right? or do I have my dates wrong??)

Do advertisers really buy this misleading spin?

Dates are completely correct. Both "Adam" and Tad got shot that week (on Monday). I'm surprised. I know the hits for the spoilers went up big-time and that has usually translated to a nice bounce when you see the ratings. Maybe the HH will show somewhat different, I doubt it though.

AMC is 5th out of 8th in the demos, IMO that definitely doesn't seem good, and I doubt advertisers would be happy with these kinds of demos.

I think Pratt has screwed his audience once too many times for them to completely trust him to do anything right.

To tell you the honest truth I think death and return from the dead have been so overdone on so many shows lately that they just don't generate that big of ratings anymore.

People don't invest in them anymore because it is only a matter of time before the next writer comes along and undoes it. So why care.

That is one of the big reasons I have been more critical of Y&R lately with some of the decisions they have made.

I was really on a positive note for daytime for awhile. But lately with some of the decisions made I am more skeptical and more down on them then I have been in a long time.

It is hard to push for fans to change the way they view when the powers that be behind the soaps don't care enough to try to be different and quit making the same stupid mistakes over and over.

Sorry but Pratt isn't the only one who has screwed the audience. The screwing began with McTavish, continued with B&E and now Pratt is just picking up not for sloppy seconds but for sloppy thirds.

Precisely. Death has become so meaningless on soaps that it usually does nothing for the ratings these days. It also doesn't help that most of these whodunit stories are slapped together for shock-value and rarely have a coherent plan or lay-out a compelling narrative that the viewers can follow and have a reasonable chance at guessing the killer based on an actual motive rather the writers pulling the killer's identity out of their hats five minutes before the denouement was filmed.
