- A new day in Salem begins with Hope serving Kayla noon tea, with a look on her face that exudes ease. Kayla says, ''Well, it seems my lovable brother did something right,'' Hope replies, ''Yes, he did, he surprised me with roses to celebrate our first date, I cannot believe with all that's going on, he would remember. Kayla adds,''Well, it is my brother we're talking about, he never forgets anything.'' ''I wish Steve was as dependable as Bo, but then again he is my one and only,'' she goes on,''it's hard for us to recover from the turmoil in the past year, but in the end, we came out okay.''Just then Ciara wails, with Hope remembering she needs to be fed, she says,''Let me take care of this, how about we talk about this later, duty calls.'' Hope exits to the nursery, while Kayla realizes that the Hospital buzzed her.

Bo enters the police station and heads toward his office, noticing that the door is open and slowly enters. ''Hello, Welcome, I guess,'' he glances over and sees his brother Roman looking at files. ''Hey, little bro just trying to help you on the E.J. Wells case, I know this may be a longshot, but if we could get through to one of E.J.'s associates, namely Stefano or Tony, we could put him away for a long time.'' Bo replies, ''Well, at least Stefano has a heart, Tony I'm not so sure, the main Dimera would be open to helping his son, even if it means jailtime.'' Roman states,''It's worth a try, although it will be risky, how about you accompany me,'' Bo says, ''Okay.'' They both leave together

Dr. Marlena Evans Black waits patiently in the Dimera living room for Stefano's return, which she is notified by the maid will be in a couple of minutes. Marlena says to herself,''I hope he does not try to string me along, I have to get going soon.'' As soon as she completes her thought, Stefano enters with a smile on his face and a very confident step. Stefano says,''Hello, Marlena, so good of you to answer my invitation to lunch, out of your very busy schedule.'' Marlena replies,''Well, we do have a history together and so far you have managed to be a decent human being in the town of Salem.'' He laughs and says ''I have come across some good news, we are to be grandparents, isn't that amazing, Samantha is bearing the future of the Dimera name.'' Marlena catches on and faints, Stefano gets out his phone and calls 911, asking for an ambulance immediately.

Kayla is making her rounds when the paramedics rush Marlena in, they say she is unconscious and needs to be treated right away, in which Kayla volunteers to oversee her treatment. Kayla says,''First I've got to call John, he must be swamped in business meetings, I hope I can get through.'' ''Hello, John,'' John replies,''Yes, Kayla I'm sort of busy now, what is it?'', she says,''It's Marlena, she fainted at the Dim-,'' he says,''Let me guess Dimera had something to do with this, damn him, I'll be there right away.'' She hangs up and reports to Marlena's hospital room, where she is alleviated and has retained some composure. Kayla asks,''So what did Stefano do this time?, Marlena says, ''Well, this time he told me something shocking, E.J. is the father of Sami's child!''

As Roman and Bo approach the Dimera Mansion, they knock and are notified that Stefano would not like to see them at this time, but Bo, being a renegade, charges through announces that if you care about E.J., you would let us in. Stefano comes into the foyer and says,''Let them in, I want to hear what they have to say,'' ''welcome to my home, what is this about my son?'' Roman says,''Stefano,we need your help in handling your son, he has committed crimes that even you would frown upon, so all we ask is for your cooperation, as much as I hate it, in letting E.J. face the music.'' Stefano replies,''I would never turn on my flesch and you have no proof that he is guilty, so please go now,'' to the Dimera guard nearby,''Escort these men out of here.'' Bo says,''Okay, Okay we'll leave, but this is not over Dimera.'' They leave and Stefano says to himself,''I wonder if I could get my son out of this dilemma?''

Bo returns home and enters the kitchen and calls out for Hope, in which she enters holding Ciara. He says,''Hello, Fancy Faces, how are we today.'' Hope says,''We're fine , Kayla stopped over for lunch but when I returned from calming down Ciara, she was gone,'' ''I know she must be busy at the hospital, but I thought she return since Steve is out of town.'' He says,''That's suspicious, let me give her a call.'' He gets out his phone and dials her number, she answers,''Hello, oh hi Bo, what's up,'' ''oh nothing just got home from talking with Stefano, exiting empty handed.'' Kayla responds,''Well, Marlena was just admitted after talking to Stefano, telling her, get this, E.J. is the father of Sami's unborn child.'' Bo says,''Wow, that will forever link our families together, damn those Dimeras, Is she alright?'' Kayla says,''She's fine, just a little shooken up, that's all, well thanks for calling, I've got to go, bye.'' Bo says ''Bye''. Bo informs Hope of this information and she is as shocked but they both agree that they must embrace this even if the child is half Dimera. They go upstairs to put Ciara to sleep, while they go to bed having their own fun. End Scene
